Weld, also known as Dyer’s Weed or Dyer’s Rocket, is the most lightfast of all the natural yellows. Native to Europe/Middle East, weld was introduced to North America and Australia and can be found growing as a common weed. Combine with indigo or woad to make beautiful shades of green. Mordant with iron for a lovely olive green.
