🌿 Creative School Holiday Workshop for Kids (Ages 6–12)

Let your child step into a world of colour, texture, and imagination these school holidays at our Nature Art & Craft workshop.

This 2.5-hour hands-on session invites curious kids aged 6–12 to explore the magic of nature through artmaking. We’ll be painting, printing, crafting and creating using natural materials like leaves, flowers, and natural fibres.

✨ Some of the activities we will include:

  • Painting and printing with plant inks and petals on paper
  • Bundle-dyeing a cotton tote bag (imprinting patterns and colours of plants permanently onto the fabric)
  • Sun printing on paper using cyanotype technology

✨ If we have some extra time, we have some other activities planned:

  • Making nature-inspired keepsakes like a suncatcher and hand-painted rocks
  • Air dry clay creations with nature stamps
  • And more!

No experience needed—just curiosity and a willingness to get a little messy!

🕒 Workshop Details:

  • When: Tuesday 8 July, 10:00am – 12:30pm
  • Where: The Pavilion, 150 Young Street, Carrington
  • Ages: 6–12 years
  • Cost: $60 - all materials included

About Katie from Studio Tinta

Katie is the founder of Studio Tinta, an independent creative studio where nature and art come together. A mother of two young children (aged 4 and 6), she understands how important it is for kids to have space to slow down, get messy, explore their imaginations and connect with nature.

With a background in textile art and natural dyeing, Katie brings years of creative experience to her workshops, along with a calm, friendly presence that helps kids feel encouraged, excited and inspired. She’s passionate about using natural and foraged materials—like leaves, clay, flowers, and plant-based colour—to help children connect with the world around them while building confidence in their own ideas.

At Studio Tinta, every class is designed to be joyful, thoughtful, and full of hands-on discovery. Whether it’s painting with plants, sculpting with clay, or experimenting with natural dyes, Katie creates a space where kids can be curious, creative, and themselves.
